307-J.Benny

Jack Benny
Room 307 is Jack Benny, an unpretentious sunny single located on the third floor overlooking the park, truly in keeping with the actor´s offstage persona. Though modest in size, the room is richly appointed with parquet floor, oriental rugs, antique period furniture and a walk-in shower. Mr Benny stayed in the hotel while in Plzen visiting the US troops at the end of WWII.
Jack Benny (born Benjamin Kubelsky; (1894-1974) was an American comedian, vaudevillian and actor for radio, television, and film. He is widely recognized as one of the leading American entertainers of the 20th century. Benny's stage character was a clever inversion of his actual self. The character was just about everything the actual Jack Benny was not: cheap, petty, vain and self-congratulatory. His masterful comic rendering of these traits became the vital linchpin to the Benny show's success.
