Room 216 is Ernest Hemingway. It is situated facing the rear courtyard. This quiet luxurious room features original art from Africa and New Guinea. There is also a photograph of the writer including a short history. The furniture is original c. 1910 period antique. The room has an extra large bathroom featuring red granite detailing and a luxurious bath/shower.
Ernest Miller Hemingway (1899-1961) was an American novelist, short-story writer and journalist, who travelled a lot. He received the Pulitzer Prize in 1953 for The Old Man and the Sea, and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954.
